bio

Faisal Al-Duwaisan was born and raised in Kuwait, where he developed a deep passion for cinema from a young age. In 2005, he took his first steps toward realizing his dream of becoming a director by participating in workshops with Kuwait Cinemagic, the Kuwait Cinema Club, and Egyptian director Mohamed Khan. In 2006, he attended a workshop with Egyptian actor Nour El-Sherif, describing it as an exceptionally memorable experience.

In 2007, he secured his first directing job at “Al-Watan TV.” His first work as a fashion photographer was for Thouq magazine, and he also produced his short film Israr (“Determination”), which participated successfully in the first Gulf Film Festival.

Faisal achieved his first participation in the Cannes Film Festival and the Dubai Film Festival with his film Dream, produced by the Doha Film Institute.

Faisal also holds a Master’s degree in cinematic arts from the Red Sea Institute of Cinematic Arts.
